ANNA KARINVINGE
I'm a transdisciplinary director originally from Barcelona, driven by a deep fascination for the possibilities that emerge when storytelling and new media converge.
After completing my studies in Film Direction at E.S.C.A.C in 2014, I initially worked as a lecturer and directed commercials. My artistic journey took an exciting turn when I delved into exploring the future of storytelling through emerging technologies. During my Master's Degree at The Royal College of Art in London, I immersed myself in the realms of Mixed Reality (AR/VR), non-linear narratives with interactive elements, and the captivating world of physical computing.
Thanks to my training in the evolving media landscape, I use technologies ecologically, politically, and with a non-anthropocentric focus. Through my work, I try to challenge the dominant perspective, highlighting interconnectedness and promoting different kinds of intelligences and consciousness.
